Start the conversation
Share your town, the ages you have in mind, and what interest already exists.
Test local interest
Connect with families and plan a simple clinic or interest event when timing and resources allow.
Build the local core
Identify at least a few dependable adults for coaching, communication, fields, and logistics.
Confirm the season plan
Work with NAYL on schedule, location, age groups, equipment, cost, registration, and regional connections.
What “ready” can look like
A launch is more realistic when there is a reachable group of interested families, at least a few committed adult volunteers, a possible field, and enough lead time to organize a clinic and season responsibly. NAYL will help assess readiness; no single number guarantees a launch.
